At Sunrise Dental, our team has worked hard to create a COVID-safe environment so that you can attend to all your general and cosmetic dentistry needs right away.

However, like most things during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there are certain changes we’ve had to make for your safety. At Sunrise Dental, our top priority is ensuring that you feel and are safe during your visit to us. 3.What precautions has Sunrise Dental taken to be COVID-Safe?

To meet the guidelines set out by the NSW Health, ADA (Australian Dental Association) and Australian Dental Council for creating a safe dental clinic during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve made a number of changes to how we operate our dental practises as part of our COVID-19 Safety Plan.

Pre-appointment screening
Prior to an appointment, we call patients to confirm they haven’t:
 • returned from overseas or interstate travel in the past 14 days
 • elt unwell, including but not limited to symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath
 • had any contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days
 • The pre-appointment screening process serves as the first line of defence to ensure that we avoid any exposure in our clinic.

On arrival
On arrival, markers on the floor or chairs help patients keep a safe distance, and we ensure patients sanitise their hands, perform a temperature check, and re-check the pre-appointment questions. These measures ensure the safety of all patients and staff present.

Hygiene & Training
All staff including dentists working in the clinic are fully vaccinated and they are still checked daily for any COVID symptoms in order to prevent any risk of transmission.
Our staff have also undergone training and obtained COVID safety certificate in the workplace. New hygiene protocols have been put in place to sanitise our clinics both before and after every appointment – as per the standards set out by the NSW Health and ADA (Australian Dental Association). If you have any questions regarding our COVID safety plan and protocols then feel free to call us for more information.

4.Why is it better to get teeth whitened at dentist?

Non-professional teeth whitening services aren’t regulated.
Our trained professional dentists and hygienists are permitted to use products with higher concentrations of hydrogen peroxide.
Teeth whitening at the dentist usually works much professional than Non-professional teeth whitening. In addition to the stronger peroxide solution that’s used in dental offices, heat or light or both can be used to speed up and intensify the whitening effects of professional treatment.
The actual whitening process involves the dentist applying a gel made of 15% to 35% hydrogen peroxide to your front teeth. Hydrogen peroxide can penetrate the porous outer layer of your teeth and break apart stain compounds using a chemical reaction called oxidation.
